Introduction to GDPR #

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a comprehensive data protection law that came into effect in the European Union (EU) on May 25, 2018. It aims to give individuals more control over their personal data and harmonize data privacy laws across Europe. GDPR applies to all organizations that process the personal data of EU citizens, regardless of where the organization is based. Key principles of GDPR include transparency, consent, and the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data.

To help you comply with GDPR, the MoreConvert plugin now includes a GDPR Compliance feature. This feature ensures that no emails are sent to users until they explicitly agree to your GDPR terms, protecting both your users’ privacy and your business from potential legal issues.

What is the GDPR Compliance Feature #

This feature is designed to obtain explicit consent from users before sending them any emails, thereby respecting their data privacy rights.
